Together We Prepare

Together We PrepareDo you realize only 32% of families nationwide have an emergency plan? That only 41% have emergency kits and 78% of households have no one qualified to give life saving first aid or CPR?

Recently, the American Red Cross unveiled a sweeping new national effort to prepare our country for a disaster or national emergency. Garland County Chapter joins with more than 1,000 American Red Cross chapters, Blood Service regions and Armed Forces Emergency Service stations nationwide in working to make the United States safer from disaster through the "Together We Prepare" Campaign.

The "Together We Prepare" campaign highlights three important steps to preparing for disaster: get a kit, make a plan and give be informed. These three actions can help us to protect ourselves and our loved ones, whether we face house fires, windstorms, ice storms, acts of terrorism, weapons of mass destruction or other unforeseen events.
